SWTOR Countdown to Contest

There is now 8 days left to prove the Star Wars The Old Republic community is the best gaming community in the world. We are not a bunch of complainers, whiners, babies, or lazy gits. We are united in a greater cause to bring this nation together. We are strong. We are proactive. We are the best and my momma says I’m #1. are you going to sit on your tushies and wait for this opportunity to pass us by? No, we are going to charge forward and prove to the world we can get SWTOR 200,000 Facebookians and 30,000 Twittorians. Let’s think of ways to make it happen. Don’t forget to tell your whole family to do this, including your rabid hamster.

Let’s take a look at the numbers:

1. Twitter: We need 30,00 and we had 18,922 yesterday. Today, we have 19,116. That is an increase of 194 and we only need 10,884 more. Unfortunately, we need 1,360.5 followers a day to make the goal for SWTOR. I feel we can do this though. We just need to pull together and make telethon YouTube videos with cats dancing in them.

2. Facebook: SWTOR needs 200,000 Likes to make this announcement happen. Shoot, we really don’t care about an announcement we want the best dang community since Princess Laya kissed an Ewok. Today, they have 140,618 Likes. A grand total increase of 1,877. Wow, that is awesome. Almost 2,000 more people in 1 day. They just need 59,382 more. I feel this is going to happen. We can do this!

No matter what happens in the end, it has been a fun trip getting to Comic Con 2010. This might be a PR stunt to get a feel for the amount of interest in the game, but we can make it fun and show BioWare we are ready to be the best community. It never hurts to be positive and look on the bright side of things. Too many times we have real life get us down and put us in a negative funk. This is a fun project to help fans lighten up and relax. I don’t care if this is a way to feel out the community. If you were a CEO of a company that is making a new project, wouldn’t you want to know how many people are interested in it? You would rather blindly stumble into a market, wishing someone knew you existed? This make sense.

I’m just a small time blogger. I need the help of all the other bloggers our there interested in SWTOR, to help. Will it hurt to help? This is your chance to stick your neck out and help somebody in need. Somebody that is trying to do something fun to put a smile on your face. A company filled with humans that need to feed their family, just like you do. They ate just people too. What is it going to hurt?

I’ll be doing a post a say like this one, until the 25th of July. Pass or fail this test from SWTOR, I had one heck of a great time doing this. I know right now, I am going to have a blast doing this. I am going to be over-the-top positive and it I’d going to feel great. I love helping others out, it feels good to be positive.
