Dry Times
I’ve had a problem lately, I am blog impotent. I can’t get a post up. I’ve written a few posts, but they sucked. I just feel dried up. I might be trying too hard to impress you. I don’t know what it is, but I can’t think of anything worth a damn. I was thinking it was because of the summer rage-quit months or the lack of any good gaming news. Most of the blogs I read have slowed their posting too. What is it with the summer? Are we all outside tanning our butt cheeks till we can’t fart without saying “Ouch”? The summer is a dry time and my brain is shrinking.
When I was…
When I was a just a little boy I had dreams. Every kid wants to grow up and be heroic in some way. We have the idea we can do anything we want. We dream of flying, being tiny, turning invisible (especially in the girls shower room), or becoming a superhuman with laser beam eyes. What happens to us as we grow up? Why do we forget to dream? Why so serious?
Call to Arms!
The beast is weakened, it is time to slit his throat. We have to gather our pitchforks and torches. Rally people and bring the pain to the 800lbs gorilla. We have waited too long for the monkey to fall from the Empire States Building. He has slipped and tumbled several stories down. It is time to shot the bastard down to the ground. Gather your tranquilizer guns of cool announcement and… FIRE!

What MMOs are missing
Every time I play my favorite MMOs, I feel something is missing. I can never put a finger on exactly what the problem is. I have minor ideas, but nothing ever makes the ideas perfect. I should just write them down so I can figure out what is missing. Here are some of my missing MMO elements:
1. Urgency: monsters just font have the life in MMOs that single player games do. I want to feel like my back is against the wall and I am firing my last shotgun shell at a zombie’s brain before I’m ripped to pieces. If a second wave of zombies come, I better be willing to jump out the window. There is just something about MMO AI’s that are stagnant. Monster stand around waiting to be killed.
What if…
What if we put down the mighty currency and build a game for fun in mind? What is Blizzard, SOE, Mythic, BioWare, Cryptic, Fallen Earth, NCSoft, ArenaNet, and THQ made an MMO together? What if this MMO was for charity? What if this MMO had a pricing model like Guild Wars?
1. $49.99 for game (download only) and you choose what charity that money goes too.
2. Every item bought in the cash shop goes to charity of your choice.
3. Only the cost of server maintenance would be deducted. A total non-profit game.

Nonsense Gamer
Once again, it is WEDnesday and that means an Ode to a gaming website I love so much. Every once and a while I branch out and think about games other than MMOs. I do own a PS3 and a Wii, so it is nice to find a website that covers all my gaming needs. I have a few rules for my favorite websites/blogs before I will praise them. Here is my rules:
1. The writers need to be polite.
2. The writing needs to be about games.
3. Most of their posts need to be positive or factual.
3. Blizzard Has Gone Too Far
I have no evidence yet, but I’m sure Blizzard sucks. I’ve been searching the forums and Google to see if all the old dungeons will be removed or changed. Maybe, somebody knows? I don’t want to miss out on getting the Old World achievements on all my 80′s. I might have to buckle down and start running mindless level 15-60 dungeons.
4. Must have iPhone Games
I love my iPhone and if you read my blog at all, you know this is true. I blog most days from my iPhone. There is not a single blog post in 2 years blogging, my iPhone was not the creator of. I can write about 1,200 words in an hour on my iPhone. I don’t like to brag, but I wrote a 50,004 word novel (unfinished) for NaNoWriMo in 30 days, on my iPhone 2G. That’s right, I love my iPhone.
WoW is like a snug condom
I feel like WoW is a snug condom every time I play it. I have a list of reasons to explain my theory. When you see my list you will know I am right. The cartoon lightbulb will flicker above your head and you will be enlightened. By the title you might think I am joking, but I am dead serious.
I love the small guy like me
I’m just a little guy blogger. I like it that way. I don’t deal with crowds too well and I take trolls seriously. Plain and simple, I just like writing for my own amusement. I do love the people that read me and enjoy what I write. It add that extra modivation to write more everyday. If I didn’t have a full time job, I probably would write all day here. I enjoy the same kind of blogger as me. I enjoy reading the blogger that has heart and not greed. I’m trying to write a weekly column on Wednesday (a day of love), to tell the other bloggers how much I enjoy their writing.
